In Year 4 we have a fantastic time learning about different themes which involve the whole curriculum. We like to enjoy our time in school as much as possible!

We aim to try our best, be there for each other, be involved in our own learning and have fun.

Through our learning, we develop our skills in working with others, becoming more independent, thinking for ourselves, finding out about ourselves and developing our self-confidence.

This year our new learning themes will be 'Audio-Visual' (investigating how we can use light and sound), ‘Romans' (uncovering more of our history),' Chocolate'(exploring the world of chocolate and designing our own products), 'Our Inner Space' (exploring the human body) and 'Gambia' (discovering new countries and cultures).

During our daily Literacy and Numeracy sessions, we like to use practical activities such as ICT, games and drama and to be actively involved in our own learning through problem solving.

In Year 4 we have 2 hours of P.E each week. We are especially looking forward to going swimming at the regional pool each week during the Autumn term!

There are lots of opportunities for using ICT within most curriculum areas such as using research and also developing new ICT skills which can be used to help us with all areas of our learning.

We are hoping to enjoy lots of new opportunities this year, which may include: performing a concert to our parents, inviting visitors into our school to teach us about new areas, trying new cultural experiences and hopefully visiting Cadbury’s World!
